The Gators played their last home game of the season, winning a thrilling 13-12 contest over division rival Central Florida and clinching a SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference playoff invitation. For the seniors it was their last game on UVS Field and they didn't disappoint. Midfielder Alfie Suarez-Sarmiento dominated the faceoff X. Suarez’s consistency gave the Gators a huge advantage, especially in the fourth quarter with the game on the line. The game was close throughout, until the fourth quarter when the Gators stretched their lead to 5. UCF would not give up and came all the way back with 4 quick goals, but the Gators were able to kill a penalty with 30 seconds remaining to hang-on for the one goal lead. LSM Danny Whyte had a great game, intercepting numerous passes and being the catalyst to our fast break offense, including an assist in the second quarter. Sophomore Alex Cervasio led the team in points with 2 goals and 2 assists. The Gators travel to Tallahassee next Friday in the match up of the year with everything on the line.

In their final game against a WCLL opponent, the Gators were matched up against UC-Santa Barbara, who has been the face of the MCLA for the past few years.
